Fort Scott Middle School serves all district students in grades six, seven, and eight.
A core curriculum of reading, language arts, social studies, math, and science is emphasized through a teaming approach. Physical education courses are required at each grade level. Life skill classes offered are:
- study skills
- computer basics.
Students may choose among four fine arts electives:
PRIDE and Adopt-A-Highway are two programs involving students in community projects as well as an active paper and plastic Re-cycling program.
