Today, the USD 234- Fort Scott Preschool Center was notified by the SEK Multi Health Department that a student/staff member at New Generation Child Care Center and Preschool has tested positive for COVID-19.
Per the direction of SEK Multi Health Department, we will be allowed to complete a modified quarantine, meaning that students enrolled in the morning and afternoon class are able to still attend school with COVID-19 protocol procedures. These procedures include that all students attending the childcare and preschool will wear a mask while in attendance as well as isolate themselves in their classrooms. Additionally, temperatures will be monitored throughout the school day. There will be no school transportation provided during this time.
We are closely monitoring this situation with the guidance of the Health Department and will provide you with updates as we know more.
If you have questions or concerns please feel free to contact Fort Scott Preschool Center at 620-223-8965 or New Generation Childcare Center at 620-215-1506.
