October is National Principal's Month! USD 234 is so thankful for the leadership and dedication our principals bring to our schools. Be sure to give them a big THANK YOU especially during this time when school is not what they are used to leading.

Is your child struggling with wearing a mask? Try these 5 tips: Around the Home: >Have a daily “Mask On!” moment. Make a plan to wear masks around the house at certain times of day, like from 10-11 am, or during certain activities, like setting the table for meals. Have your child help you decide when. >Pick an activity with a concrete ending, like building a simple puzzle, and wear masks throughout. >Plan a special event, like a scavenger hunt or playing together with a favorite toy, with one rule: Masks are required. >Wear masks during art and creativity time, like drawing, coloring or building with LEGO bricks. >Play a game with masks on, whether it’s a classic card game or your child’s favorite video game.

The CDC now recommends people over age 2 wear masks when outside their homes. The purpose of people wearing masks in public is to protect the community. As so many people who have COVID-19 don’t have symptoms, wearing a mask can reduce the possibility that someone with no symptoms could transmit the disease to others. #bourboncountystrong #GBR Visit https://www.bourboncountystrong.com/ for more information.
